About Us
Student Advocates for Healthy Living in Under-served Demographics (S.A.H.L.U.D.) was founded in 2007 at University of California, Santa Barbara. This student service venture addresses the health-related needs of people in the local community and abroad, using education as our main tool. Our goal as a group is to make a positive impact by finding solutions that are within the scope of students. Our team seeks highly motivated students from every field who feel they can make a difference and wish to gain experience in service and health.
Students with entrepreneurial spirits are encouraged to join our efforts to create various charitable projects in the US and in Latin America. This is a great opportunity for individuals to put their own fingerprints into projects, obtain hands on health care experience, and to be part of a rapidly evolving service endeavor.
